Where Daisy and Her Magical Journal Began 🌼

This story has been decades in the making.

Back in 8th grade, my teacher gave our class a special assignment: write and illustrate your own book.
We each created our own stories, and she had them all hardbound as keepsakes. That’s when Daisy Stands Tall was born—the original version of what would eventually become Daisy and Her Magical Journal.

I’ve held onto that hardbound copy since 2005.
In 2018, I decided I wanted to bring the story to life.
And in 2025, it officially made its debut—reimagined and full of heart.

I love connecting with readers of all ages. Whether the focus is practicing gratitude and mindfulness or about sharing the journey from middle school story to published book. I'm available for a variety of events:
 

For Younger Readers (Pre-K to 3rd Grade):

• 📝 The Art of the Possible – a special author talk where I bring my original 8th grade book Daisy Stands Tall and share how that classroom assignment turned into a published book years later
